Well, these are not the only gods in the multiverse So obviously, both Heaven and Hell, and scientology, use some of that energy to fed themselves, and auction the rest of it to other gods in the multiverse. Since gods are inmortal, it’s more than possible that those gods have killed already all their mortals, and can’t survive any longer without this food they sell to them. As payment you get a miriad of different miracles, depending on the buyer, that noone on hell/heaven/scientology can perform. So basically you sell food and buy favors.
What’s interesting with this setup is that TECHNICALLY, a REALLY WELL CONNECTED mortal would be able to set up his own afterlife. Rumors say that H.P. Lovecraft was one of such mortals. He actually managed to set up an afterlife, and he sold the energy to some forgotten gods. As payment he became inmortal, but was forced to leave the material plane. Still, some people will synchronize with his particular energry waves, and are sold to those gods, after Lovecraft himself uses a part of it to sustain his own inmortality.
So now you know where that energy goes, and knowing is half the battle!
Dang upstarts! Causin’ all kinds of ruckas!
